Passed away September 9, 2017, in his 90th year after a long and courageous battle with ill health. Born Dec 2, 1927 in Hannon, Ontario. Son of John Henry Glover and Hattie Evans. Survived by sons Michael, Bertram, John, Peter, Joseph (deceased), and daughter Doris, grandsons Joshua, Rodger, Roman, Theron, Athena, Eitan, Austin (Rhonda), Spencer, Reece (deceased), and great grandson, Elliot. Also survived by his sister Patricia Glover Zakrzewski of Hamilton and countless nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Jeanne VanderBurgh, Doris Glover, Kathleen Behm, Phyllis Brown, and Joyce McEvoy, and brothers Blair and Jack. Rodger was a hard worker and business man up until the last few years of his life, and was the founder of R.E.Glover Ltd., and Glover Threaded Products Inc. Rodger was an avid curler and golfer at the Glendale Golf and Country Club. The family wishes to acknowledge Jenelyn Umapas whom Rodger adored as she provided exceptional care to him for many years, as well as his niece Janet Brown Rush. Thanks also to those who, for years, kept Rodger in their prayers at various churches, and to those who genuinely cared for him at Ridgeview nursing home and Juravinski Hospital. Funeral arrangements entrusted to TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (at the Delta). Visitation Friday September 15, 6 pm – 8 pm and Saturday, September 16, 11 am – 1 pm with funeral service following in the Chapel. Interment, Monday September 18, leaving Truscott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Chapel at 10 am with procession to St. George’s Cemetery, 1307 Rymal Road, Hamilton (Hannon), for burial at 10:30 am. Memorial donations in Rodger's name to St. Stephen on The Mount Anglican Church for the Pandan Southern Baptist Church Mission (625 Concession Street, Hamilton L8V 1B7) would be appreciated by the family.
