Paul Anthony Settimi

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Anthony Settimi as the result of a tragic car accident, in Montreal, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, in his 28th year. Paul is the much loved son of Arnie and Sally (nee Mattina) and step-mother, Nancy, and special brother of Sarah and step-brother, Justin, He will be greatly missed by grandparents, Ezio and Elena Settimi, Gina Mattina and the late Camillo Mattina. Paul leaves behind his aunts and uncles, John and Maryanne van der ZaIm, Arlene and Loreto Leombruni and Paul and Marisa Settimi. Dear cousin of Michael, Jenna, John-Paul, Alissa, Matthew and Victoria. Paul was a former graduate of McMaster University and was working towards his Master's Degree in Psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa. Paul will be remembered for his love of music, his determination to complete his education and his love for his furry friend, Charlotte. Paul was very much loved and will be sorely missed by all. Visitation at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 2-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 128 Edgemont Street South, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy if so desired, donations to St. John the Baptist Church in Hamilton would be greatly appreciated by the family.
