Olive Beverly Hudson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olive on November 10, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in her 75th year. Cherished mom to Bev (Dave), Tim (Brenda), Jamie (Cheryl), Bill (Diana) and Marilyn (John). Stepmom to Joe (Claudia), Mike, Laurie, Andy and Wayne (Jackie). Best friend to Phil. Adored Gramma of Jenny, Kim, Julia, Paul, Sara, Melissa, James, Andrea, Benjamin, Santiago, Ryan, Ethan, Ryan and Erin. Great Gramma to Tiahna, Mikayla, Noah, Aidan, Ella, Alex and Avery. Big sister to Jim (Shirley), Marilyn (Ted), Gerald (Gail), Elaine and sister in law to Frances. Predeceased by parents Florence and Jim White (Nellie), big brother Fred and grandson Timmy. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family members here as well as Nova Scotia and Holland. Olive enjoyed her work as an RNA at Joseph Brant Hospital and as a clinical assistant at the Red Cross Blood Bank. Her caring nature and gentle spirit is an inspiration to her family and friends of both human and animal kind. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to gather at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL (1309 King Street East, across from Gage Park at the delta) on Friday November 12 from 7 – 9 pm. A memorial celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday November 13 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the funeral home food and toy drive or Hamilton SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
