Michael Kennedy

He is pre-deceased by his father and mother Joseph Laurence “Laurie” Kennedy and Esther Kennedy (nee Niemi) and his sister Jean (Kent). He is survived by his wife of 26 years Jayne Kennedy (nee Grigg), sisters Patricia “Pat” Norquay, Irene (Dereck) Rhodes, his brother James “Jim” (Cindy) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many friends.

He worked for The CUMIS Group Limited for 40 years until he retired. Mike was an enthusiastic volunteer at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, as a greeter and directed patients and visitors to where in the hospital they needed to go. He often went above and beyond in his service to the hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, Fennell Chapel, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Mike would consider it an honour if you would perform a random act of kindness and ask the recipient to “pay it forward”. We will all miss his infectious smile and sense of humour.
