Marlene will be missed by her sister-in-law Judy (late Manford) Locksley, her nephews Martin (Valerie), Orillia, Michael (Sarah) Oxford Mills, and niece Melanie Yourechuk (Dave) St Albert. Four great-nieces and nephews. Joey and Katie Bohn, Mackenna and Sean Yourechuk. Predeceased by her parents Wesley and Matilda (nee Schultz) Bohn and brothers Morris and Manford.
Marlene started teaching in Pembroke with the Family of Schools (Centerward). She retired from teaching with the Hamilton Board of Education in 1988. Marlene spent many years as an organist at the Linden Park Church. She was also the pianist for a few groups and sang in the church choir, she loved her music.
Marlene enjoyed travel and visited many places throughout the world. She committed herself to community service in the Hamilton area.The Bohn family would like to thank The Meadowlands Retirement Home for her care. Her many friends who took her out, ran errands, visited her, wrote her letters, and phoned her.Professional services have been entrusted to the Crestmount Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date COVID-19 permitting at Salem United Church where she reaches her final resting place in Salem United Church cemetery in Locksley.
