Larry Douglas Sims

Throughout his life, he courageously battled illness, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience. His love, bravery, and enduring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Larry is survived by his loving family; his beloved wife, Pat, and cherished daughters, Shari (Jamie) & Kelly (John). Proud Grandpa of Tyler (Emma), Ashleigh, Stephanie & Nicholas and Great Grandpa of Ryder. Larry is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Margaret Sims and his sister Gail Gebel. Larry was a loving brother-in-law to Joe Gebel, Lynda Kernick (Frank), Bernie Griffin (Cindy) & Gerry Griffin. He will be forever missed and cherished by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Heartfelt thanks to Paramed PSW staff that looked after Larry, in particular Gail & Tammy who took care of Larry for many years and a special thanks to Father Charlie Galea. Larry has always been an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and we know he will be cheering them on from above! Go Leafs Go!

The family will receive friends at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 11 a.m.
