Beloved wife of Ivan for 53 years. Loving mother of Slavica, Kata Spoljar (Michael), Ana Klassen (Greg), John (Sofia) and Jenna Amoia (Angelo). Cherished Baba of Sofia, Daniela, Marina, Leo and Joey. Dear sister of Anto Stipic (Mara), Mara Josipovic (Pero), the late Manda Jukic, and the late Jakov Stipic. Missed by her bestfriend and adopted daughter Željka Kovačević who touched her heart. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada, Croatia, Bosnia, Austria, United States, Germany, Slovenia and Switzerland.
Kaja was incredibly talented and loved every part of her life. She was a woman of many talents, there was nothing she could not do. She enjoyed the outdoors, painting, hosting family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kaja lived every moment to it’s fullest, touched everyone’s life and will be greatly missed by all. Special thanks to Dr. Jimenez and the team at Juravinski Cancer Centre, as well as, Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their exceptional compassion and care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East, on Wednesday, January 31 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with Rosary at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations in honour of Kaja can be made to the Cancer Assistance Program or the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, to continue their ongoing compassion and services.
