Suddenly on May 17, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Villa in his 95th year. Father of Jane Caprice-Cartwright (Bill) and René Jr. Predeceased by his daughter Rochelle Louise. Brother of Germaine Milleur, Marcelle Jackson and Yolande Auger. Grandfather to Tim (deceased), Brad, Rochelle, Sean, Jesse and Zach. Also a great grandfather and great-great grandfather. René was a retired employee of Stelco – Canada Works, a longtime member of St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church and spent much of his time organizing and running card games at many seniors’ residences. The family wishes to invite his friends to a memorial gathering at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (across from Gage Park at the delta) on Sunday, May 29 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest back home in St. Eugene.
