Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 82. Lovingly remembered by Bev. Father of Lyla (Sue) and David (Linda). Grandfather of Katherine, David and Thomas. Great-grandfather of Okley Theo Fraser. Dear brother of Claudia MacCharles (Ron, predeceased), Julia Schmalenberg (Dale) and Renee McDonald (predeceased) (Bill). Will be sadly missed by his special family Don, Kris, Amber and Nicole Nie. Dearly missed by many other family and friends. Lifetime member of the Hamilton Victoria Curling Club. George was a great hunter, fisherman and friend, he will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton, on Thursday, May 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
