Eileen Dorothy Connor

Peacefully on November 26, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Ralph G. Connor (2016). Loving mother of Robin G. Connor (the late Janlea 2016) and Patricia M. Burgon (Brian). Dear grandmother of the late Leanne Connor (2015). Eileen was born in Hamilton and was a lifelong resident. After graduating from Westdale Collegiate, she joined the Wartime Farm Service Force. After eight years as a secretary at Sun Life Insurance, she became secretary-treasurer of Ralph G Connor Insurance Ltd. She was a longtime member of Pioneer Memorial United Church and St. John’s United Church. She sang with the Hamilton Civic Concert Choir and the Steel City Singers. She volunteered for many years with the VON and became a member of the Volunteer Board of the Hamilton Hospital Association. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 6-9pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John’s United Church or the Hamilton SPCA would be appreciated.
