ATKINSON, Dorothy “Dot” With family by her side, Dorothy passed peacefully at Wellington Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in her 90th year. She is now re-united with her dear husband Doug (1982). Sweet mother of Peter (Doris) and Janet (Francis) and grandmother of Caroline. Survived by brother Ernie and sister Zillah in England. She will be especially missed by cousins Sue and Tony Reynolds and family in Canada. Dorothy was a proud member of the “Robinson’s Merry Widows Club”; Dot treasured her many, many good friends. Great thanks is extended to all the staff at Wellington Retirement Home for their exemplary care. In keeping with Dot’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held at a later date in England. Donations to the Alzheimer Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
