I was very saddened to hear of Dan’s passing.     I truly enjoyed learning the HSE industry from him.     He took me under his wing and allowed me to grow.     While teaching me, we also discussed our DC comics and the superhero movies.     We also enjoyed a Texas sized Chinese buffet when he would come to Houston.    

I am honestly thankful to know Dan and to have him and his knowledge, as part of my life.      


He will truly be missed!

I was truly saddened when I learned the other day of Dan’s passing in 2022. I had called him on his April 6th birthday in 2023 only to learn of the terrible news.  This was a ritual for the two of us as our birthdays were just days away from one another. 
Dan was a hard working knowledgeable person who dedicate his later working life to Blastech in Brantford, On.  He will be truly missed by all. 
Dan, it’s time to RIP as heaven has made room for a great person.  Until we meet again save us all a spot with you. 

Thank you for advising us of Danny's passing.  Thinking of Danny makes us hear again his beautiful contagious laugh.  He lit up the north shore of Maple Lake. We are so sorry for your loss.

We first got to know the Milford family through Sharon and Trevor but it soon expanded to Stacy and Ryan and Danny.
Dan was always so helpful , compassionate and kind whether delivering me milk, walking my dog or attempting to fix my eyeglasses. 
Always presenting a cheerful demeanor and helping us in times of need.
He will be missed.

Dan sent me this on his baby's birthday. " well the Cutlass is alive and well (still goes like a shot!) – 50 years old today, as May 10, 1972 was the production date (delivery date was May 19) It must have been one of the last few made before the annual retooling shutdown." 

I have had the fortune to have known Dan for   nearly 40 years first as a supplier and then a colleague.
Dan developed a reputation that will be hard to match and is recognized as an expert in the field of protective coating and achieved the globally recognized title of Coating Specialist issued by AMPP The Association for Materials Protection and Performance, a Global group
His organized approach to challenges and his ready sense of humor was well known. He nurtured his family carefu.lly and with love.
Several members of my family also knew Dan and join me wishing his family our condolences 

 




My sincere condolences to the Milford family I worked with Dan at Blastech Dan always would share his Cutlass Supreme stories as well  as stories of his grand children. Dan you were great stand up person . Rest Easy Dan

I loved Danny's laugh ... because it was a giggle, and oh, so contagious! I remember visiting his family's cottage when I was a teen and one time commenting on how tanned he was.  Of course, this was because he spent most of his time at the cottage kite skiing, water skiing, or some other kind of sport that kept him outside.  His response to my admiration of his wonderful tan?  "Not any more!  It's gone... I just had a shower!" .. a true example of his quick witted humour ... followed, of course, by his giggle.  As a cousin only a few months his senior, I will remember Danny (yes, I still call him "Danny") with love and fondness.  Ralph's and my condolences are with the entire family at this time.    

I feel blessed to have so many wonderful memories of Dan! I’ll always remember his love of a good pun, carving the holiday turkeys, our chats in the line-ups at Starbucks and his “I’ll try anything” attitude (cricket snacks!!). But some of the memories I will hold especially close are the ones of our old family traditions - our Niagara Falls getaways, mini-golf in Port Dover, his fireworks displays …. he always made everything extra special and gave us lots of laughs. 

He will be missed but always remembered.

We were saddened to learn of the sudden death of Dan.  Our deepest condolences to all at this time.  We are sorry that we will not be with you on Saturday Oct. 15 as you mourn the loss of Dan but know that our thoughts and prayers will be with you through this time.

I am sorry to hear of Dan passing, please accept my sincere condolences.

Our paths crossed many times over the years in the protective coatings business. Over 35 years ago Danny helped me along as a young salesman, sharing his wisdom and guidance, when he worked for Harrison Muir.

That continued on thought-out his entire career, as I had the opportunity to find solutions to his always great and tough questions when he worked with the TF Warren Group.

I got to learn a lot from him over the years, and no matter what the situation was he was always professional and always smiling.

This was taken at my 40th birthday party. He always made the effort to come out and support people. 
I just saw Dan a few weeks ago. We were talking cars and cataract surgery. You always had a great conversation with him. Always positive, always smiling. 
He was such a nice guy. He will be missed. 

I worked with Dan at Blastech from 2000 until 2012.  I remember him as a true gentleman and diplomat.   One of my fondest memories is when he shared pictures of a hummingbird nest outside his window at home  and his efforts to catch photos of the babies and their growth.   He was truly innovative in setting up his webcam.  We got daily updates.. he so enjoyed some of the simpler things.  My sincerest condolences to his family and closest friends.   He will leave a hole that will be hard to fill.

We were very sorry to hear of Danny's passing. 
We will always remember the good times we had curling and the times spent with the Milford clan at family functions.

Our sincere condolences to all of you.  I once saw a quote that seems so fitting - "What is life?   Life is the time God gives you to decide what you want to do with eternity".    It's almost as if Dan based his life on this principle.  Dan worked hard to take care of his family, he was such a great husband, father and grandfather.  He was selfless, always putting family ahead of his needs and wants.  We always felt so "taken care of" when visiting.       
I will close with a quote from St. Therese that, I think, sums up Dan's life journey... “Yes, I’m like a tired and harassed traveler, who reaches the end of his journey and falls over. Yes, but I’ll be falling into God’s arms!”
