I am not in touch with my Broadcasting class of '83 but I remember Cynthia as a fun-loving devilishly mischievous ball of energy who made me laugh and added a lot of joy to hopelessly dry technical courses.
I will never forget her sexy voice lending the tag line of  'he can smell where you are' to a class commercial project that gave our group all high marks.

I was very saddened to hear of the loss of Cyndi.  We were high school friends, played in the band together, took trips together. Cyndi, Gail and I spent many summer days around the pool; talking about eveything. I was touched when Cyndi asked me to play French Horn at her wedding to David. When I moved to Europe for many years; we lost touch.  But I thought of her often, always with a smile and fondness.
I will always remember Cyndi's quick wit and her enormous heart.  My deepest condolences to her family.

I was deeply sorry to hear of Cyndi's passing.  Cyndi was a rare person.  Very smart, funny and generous.  I had lost touch with Cyndi for the past few years but I thought of her often.  She gave me my beautiful Golden Retriever that she had rescued from the Humane Society as she knew we were meant for each other and I was so thankful to her for that gift.  We shared many adventures, laughs and also tears as high school friends, then managing to keep in touch through post secondary school and ended up as neighbors in Toronto living 2 blocks apart.  I missed her very much over the last few years and will cherish my memories of our friendship always.

There were very few people in my life who could move me with just words and simple actions.  Cynthia was one of those people.  As a colleague at the Ministry of the Environment and as a friend - for the briefest of moments - that was all that was needed.  She always made me feel needed, wanted and special.  I have no words for the loss to her children.  I nave no words for the loss of that smile and the laughter.  The memories...keep them and she will never truly...be gone...thank you Cynthia for that brief privilege.

Cynthia, you will be missed.  I will never forget how kind you were to my boys, and what a wonderful mother you were to your own.  May your family find strength at this difficult time.

such a deep and profound sadness swept through me, hearing you left us way too soon ... way too soon, as I hadn't responded to your reaching out to reconnect ... i was foolish to think there would always be time ~ gosh, you sure have taught me something ... something beyond the love of life and silly laughter we shared so many times as little girls. 'cynthia' as my dad always called you. your gorgeous ringlets, twinkling eyes and infectious, snorting laugh ... especially those car rides to wpg when we would sit in the back seat, a pile of magazines between us ... cutting out the large eyes and lips from the ads, sticking them on our eyes and mouths and pushing our faces to the windows as cars passed us by ... we would absolutely roar with fits of laughter at the passerby's expressions! it's a wonder dad could keep the car on the road. but i think one of the most lovely times we shared was a christmas concert at the school in oak river that you and i went to while our dad's visited 'in the christmas spirit' ... your mom must have taken us ~ we were all dressed up and i remember wearing that beautiful sparkly hair brett that you gave me, that i still have today. something magical about that time that i will keep with me forever. thank you for the fun and the sunshine and many memories. i can only imagine your three beautiful boys carrying your joie de la vie with them ~ they are lucky to have you as their mom. my love and blessings to your sister, brother and dear mother who's sweet and tender voice tried, but couldn't possibly get after us goofy girls.
i am so sorry i wasn't a very good friend these later years ... but i am grateful for the years we did have and the colourful, vibrant thread that you are in my life tapestry.

Cynthia and I were inseparable friends during our years at Conestoga College. I remember the laughter we shared and the spontaneous road trips we would take together. We were kind of like "Thelma and Louise", but without the law-breaking of course! One of us was the conservative one who liked to 'follow the rules' and the other one was the impulsive, spontaneous one with the devilish glint in her eye. You can easily guess which one was Cyndi. She taught me how to laugh at myself and how to enjoy each day as a new adventure. Those were very happy times when life was full of possibilities. I will always cherish those memories of a wonderful friend and co-conspirator. My deepest condolences to Cyndi's boys and entire family. Our lives are richer for having known her.

Our paths crossed years ago as kids.  We had our pictures taken together in the Barrie Examiner.  You won 2nd prize for your bottle garden; I won 3rd for mine.  Who would have known that later in life, you would contact me on something called Facebook - did we even have computers then?  You shared that photo with me again and we had many months of friendly chats.  Thank you for sharing those memories with me again.  Cyndi, you will be missed.  The world is a little darker now that your light has burnt out.  I am sure you're in a better place watching over your family, and friends.  I will plant a flower in my garden and think of you every time I tend to it.

Saddend to learn of Cindy's passing.  Managed to talk to her last month. Was a "fire-cracker," student in my classes at Conestoga College. I piped at her wedding, it was a most enjoyable gathering.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
