June 28, 1924-April 11, 2011 - It is with profound sadness that Gregory, Elizabeth and Don Purser and Patricia announce the peaceful passing of the mother Betty in her 87th year at 5 am April 11, 2011. She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years Jack, her adored grand daughters Morgan (Colin). Blair Manzato (Michael) and her great grandson Logan. She leaves to grieve her devoted brother Brian (Margi) her dearest sister Mavis (Bill), her sisters-in-law Patricia Glover Zakrezewski, Phyllis Brown (Bert) brother-in-law Rodger and many nieces and nephews. Betty was past regent and proud 50 year member of the IODE Emma Francis Pratt Chapter and was known for her unconditional love for her fmaily. Over the years Betty gave generously of her time and talents to those in need. Her generosity and innate goodness touched everyone she met. Our heartfelt thanks go to the PSW's and Registered staff of St. Joseph's Villa - Tulip Garden and Balsam Trail. Their genuine love and devotion for our mother made her time there bearable. She shared many laughs, a few tears and countless cups of tea with them all. Cremation has already taken place. There wil be a memorial service in the Conservatory Lounge at St. Joseph's Villa 56 Governor's Road, Dundas where her husband Jack resides, at 1:30 Wendesday, April 13, 2011. Reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to the home of Elizabeth and Don Purser, 151 Delaware Avenue, after 5 p.m. As per mom's wishes, donations to the Mission Services Easter Dinner Campaign or Hamilton Food Share. Arrangements entrusted to Truscott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Chapel.
