McLEOD, Anthony. It is with deep sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Anthony Gerard, Ants, "the Ace", McLeod, in his 52nd year on December 8, 2010. Beloved husband of thirteen years to Janet. Loving step-father to Christina (Keith), Patricia and Ryan. Dearest grandpa to Kayden. Predeceased by his cherished parents, Mary (2006) and Johnny (1979) McLeod and his father-in-law, Dave Thomas. Survived by his mother-in-law, Marion and his Godparents Uncle Michael and Auntie Ellen. This sadness is shared with all his family and friends especially sister Bernardine (Miranda, Carly, Alyson, Robert), brother Michael (Bonnie, Dawn, Debbie, Denise, Marijean, Godson John), brother Alan (Nadine), brother John (Anne, Shannon, Sean), brother Marty (Heidi, Kayla, Andrew), brothers- in-law Rick, Dean (Lynda, Nathan, Mindy), Nick (Angie, Joshua and Marina), Bob (Tamar, Jason and Taylor) and with many cousins in Scotland, Ireland and Canada. All his friends share in our grief whose lives are unforgettably enriched with stories of their adventures with Ants. Ace was a dedicated and proud Stelco employee, retiring as a crane operator after 30+years of service. His charisma brightened many a work day. You left us too soon, Anthony. Your heart was full of love and your laughter was contagious. We love you. God Grant You Peace. Visiting at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service Monday at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Eugene's Church on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
