Katie S. Cox, age 25, passed away on November 12, 2022. She was born on April 8th 1997 to James Cox and Wendy (David) Mastroni. She was the most beautiful girl two parents could ever ask for. She loved animals and would have a complete zoo if she could! Katie had to grow up fast with family changes along the way, and after she studied Small Animals at Butler Tech she worked for West Side Animal Clinic for over 5 years. She left there and worked for family before getting hired at R&L Carriers from Wilmington, Ohio. She was an excellent artist and made drawings for labels for her dads brush company. She loved her job and was able to work from home. Most recently she also worked at Riley Pizza on the weekends making extra money. She reconnected with many of her old friends and made many new ones that helped her in so many ways. She was the happiest she had been in a long time. She loved spending time with her friends, Bree, Sadie, Whitney, McKayla, Tiffany, Sara, Shy and so many others. Many were new but they made a lasting bond. She was always joking around, and had a great attitude. She did not dwell on the past, or things that would bring you down. She was angry if family or friends did not get along, she wanted everyone to be happy. We loved her dearly through thick and thin. She was determined to lose weight and get healthy. She passed in her sleep and did not suffer. We can all take comfort in that. We can also take away many more things from Katie's journey on this earth. She made it a better place. She accepted people for who they were. She never judged people. She reminded us all to show love and compassion for others. She never really made any enemies, she always ended up friends with anyone who had crossed her, albeit a little wiser. She would try to let people know that they were forgiven. We all get in a hurry to make money and survive in this world, but we need to take the time to develop relationships with others. Families need to talk more. Friends need to check on each other more. People need to spend more time with one another. If anything, this has brought everyone closer together which is what Katie wanted. She is survived by her parents, her brother Brandon Cox (Jessica) and their children Brayden, Chloe, Remi and Harley. Her grandparents Donna and Dave Chesnut, Ken and Cheryl Coggeshall, Del Cox (Wanda), Aunts and Uncles Debbie Earls (Mike) - Kevin Stamper (cousin), Vicki Logsdon (Greg) - Ashley, Amber, Mitch and their children, her loving Uncle Kenny (Schanene O'Reilly), and cousins Tyler and Erica, as well as many extended family and friends. Please remember her personality and her wonderful smile and the good times you shared with her! Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 4-6:30pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will follow at 6:30pm with Pastor Nathaniel Sorensen officiating. A reception will follow the services at the Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, send donations in the name of Katie Cox to New Life Vineyard Church, or Millville Avenue Church of the Nazarene.
