Karen Moody, knock-out gorgeous, beauty queen, fashionista, amazing mother, and MS warrior, died on Friday, January 14, 2022. A current resident of Hyde Park, OH, Beechwood Homes. Karen battled Progressive Multiple Sclerosis for the last 17 years. She is a survivor and all her battles have been won. Today she is walking again and pain free in heaven. Karen had many roles over the years but her primary focus was always Motherhood. Her children were her life's ambition and greatest accomplishment. Karen was a beautiful person, full of humor, kindness and equality. She believed in treating all people equally and devoted her life to the motto, “pretty is as pretty does,” and Karen Moody was the epitome of pretty.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Betty J. Mobley of Hamilton, OH; her oldest daughter, Ashley Nicole (Matthew) Jackson and treasured grandchildren, Ella Brooklynn and Cole Bryce Jackson of Union, KY; children, John Curtis Moody and Megan Mckenzie Moody of Somerset, KY; sisters, Tammy (Joe) Johnson and Sharon (Benjamin) Carley; niece and nephew, Samantha (Tony) Schlabach and Danny Carley; great-niece and great-nephew, Harper and Saylor Schlabach; favorite aunt and uncle, Norma and Ron Thomas; cousins, Jeff (Amy) Thomas and Ronnie Lee Thomas; and special best friend, Shari Kelley. She was preceded in death by her father, Bryce Mobley; and grandparents, Carnel (Tiny) and Eudella Cole and John and Oralee Mobley.
A Gathering for Family and Friends will be held from 12pm until 1pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton. A Memorial Service will begin at 1pm on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Haley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Beechwood Homes, Friends of Beechwood Account, in memory of Karen Moody. Karen was a resident of Beechwood. Beechwood is committed to serving those who have neurological diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis. She loved her caregivers, fellow residents and all the people at Beechwood. Karen would want her legacy to benefit them. The family will continue this legacy through donations and involvement with Beechwood.
