Joseph Schmidt, age 52 of Venice, Florida, passed away at “Tidewell Hospice Center” on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was born on July 5, 1970, in Cincinnati, the son of Sylvia Schmidt. Joe was known around his community for being a caring helping hand. To help serve his neighbors and community, Joe created a successful landscaping business in Florida. He had a great sense of humor, was adventurous, and wasn’t afraid of anything. His favorite pastime was spending time near the water and fishing.
Joe is survived by his wife, Angelena Schmidt-Zompero; his one and only favorite grandson, Carter Schmidt; children, Cody Schmidt, Brandon (Elina) Carmack, Beck Stacy, and Zachary Caporaso; sister, Carmen (Scott) Deland; brothers, Doug (Teresa) Meyer, John (Cindy) Meyer, Dan Schmidt, Alex (Leslie) Schmidt; and many loving nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 3pm until 5pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton. A Memorial Ceremony will follow at 5pm.
