Edward H. "Bud" Prescott

Edward H. “Bud” Prescott, age 92, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Parkside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 30, 1919 in Middletown, the son of the late Rufus Harper and Ida Mae (Stremmel) Prescott. On February 9, 1941, Edward married his wife of over 53 years, Mildred (McCloud) Prescott, and she preceded him in death on December 21, 1994. He enjoyed woodworking, was a very active member of the Senior Citizens, Inc. in Hamilton and while his children were growing up, was extremely involved with the Boy Scouts, both in the community and in the local schools. Edward is survived by his companion, Lucille McGuire; children, Patricia (Edgar) Krebs, Eugene (Fran) Prescott, Jackie Gott, Mike (Kathy) Prescott, Kenneth Prescott and Greg (Bonnie) Prescott; grandchildren, Becky (Kevin) Ferguson, Leisa (Michael) Douglass, Lori (Terry) Brixey, Tracy (Scott) Moore, Cindy (Lon) Lainhart, Travis (Marcie) Prescott, Brian (Carol) Gott, Eric (Shannon) Gott, Kelly Prescott Brandner (Ron Marcum), Kevin (August) Prescott, Robert (Meagan) Prescott, Daniel (Leslie) Prescott, James (Maureen) Prescott, Chris Prescott and Chad (Irina) Prescott; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Marie Likearthis. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; wife; great-grandson; and brother. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 12noon at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Pastor Larry Uczen officiating. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family suggests that donations be made in Edward’s memory to either Partners in Prime (Senior Citizens, Inc.), 140 Ross Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013 or Calvary Church, North 7th and High Street, Hamilton, OH 45011.
