Eddie Whitaker, age 72 of Fairfield Twp., passed away at his home surround by family on Friday, April 21, 2023. He was born on January 27, 1951 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Ray and Jerrell (Westerfield) Whitaker. On March 31, 1973, Eddie married the love of his life, Alice Faye Grizzle. He was a heavy equipment operator formerly of American Materials. Eddie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Whitaker; sons, Rodney (Nina) Whitaker, Bill (Lisa) Adkins, Stephen (Beth) Whitaker and Brian Whitaker; grandchildren, Jacob, Stuart and Tyler Whitaker and Austin Henry Adkins and his sister, Janice (Kenny) Kendrick. His siblings, Dan and Bill Whitaker and Kathy Richards, also preceded him in death. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 5-7pm at Edgewood Baptist Church, 1010 W. State Street Trenton, Ohio 45067. Funeral ceremony will follow at 7pm at the church with Pastor Keith Risner officiating.
