Douglas French Combs

COMBS, Douglas French, age 90, of Middletown, Ohio, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2022 surrounded by his family. Doug was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to Abbie and Fulton Combs and proudly spent much of his career at General Motors in Moraine, Ohio, retiring after 27 years. A dedicated, consistent, and dependable man, Doug was a member of the Life Church in Monroe, Ohio for 65 Years. Doug loved most spending time with his family, including his wife of 68 years, Leona Combs.

Doug is survived by his wife, Leona Combs (Baker); sons, Michael Combs (Linda) and Mark Combs (Dianne); brother, David Combs (Lucille); grandchildren, Bradley (Krystal), Edward, and Mark Douglas; 8 great-grandchildren. He will be loved and cherished by by a host of family, friends, and his church community. The family has requested memorials be sent to the Hospice of Middletown, 4418 Lewis Street, Suite B, Middletown, Ohio 45044.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mazie Taylor; brothers, Harold and Jimmy Combs.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 10:00 am at the Rose Hill Burial Park, 2521 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Pastor Ron German officiating.
