Donald C. Miller

Donald C. Miller, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born on March 19, 1931 in Charleston, WV. On December 17, 1951 in New Brunswick, NJ, Donald married his wife of over 61 years, Meredith (Kinnard) Miller, who preceded him in death on July 21, 2013. Donald lived with his wife in London, England while he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He received his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and continued his graduate studies at University of Pittsburgh. Donald was an industrial engineer at Champion Papers for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He was a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and a member of the WVU Emeritas Club in recognition of his 50 years of service in that profession. Donald is survived by his three children, Debbie (Al) Hymer, Cathie (Tom) Petroze and Brad (Sandy) Miller; grandchildren, Justin Miller, Brandon Miller, Logan Miller, Mason Miller, Alexis Miller, Carson Miller, Angie (Cliff) Partee, Christie (Jon) Crosby and Christina Petroze; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kaylee, Melody, Karter and Kayden; Melody’s mother, Lacey Sheets; sister-in-law, Mildred Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings, Charles Miller and Lucy Harper. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 12pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 11am until 12pm on Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Donald’s name to Hospice of Cincinnati, Inc., P.O.
