Carl Clark, 85 of Hamilton, Ohio, peacefully succumbed to multiple myeloma on February 12, 2022, at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Hamilton. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Carl managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by Inas, his loving wife of 62 years and also his sons, three grandsons, and other family members.
He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 20, 1936, the son of Ernest and Florence (Kehr) Clark. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1954 and served in the US Army. He married the love of his life, Inas Hoover, in Cincinnati in 1959 after meeting at work at Mosler Safe in Hamilton. He was subsequently employed at Champion International - Knightsbridge for over 30 years. During this time, he and Inas enjoyed attending their sons’ baseball, basketball, and soccer games. After taking early retirement at the age of 55 he spent hours enjoying landscaping and gardening. He found beauty in the flowers and often explored the outdoors, hiking with Inas and family. He loved playing cards, going to ball games, and taking walks with his loved ones. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons: Reilly, Brady, and Ryan. Carl will be remembered for his devotion to family. He set a high bar modeling integrity and a strong moral compass in all matters.
Carl is survived by his loving wife Inas, two sons Mike (Beth), Cincinnati, and Doug, Fairfield, Ohio. Also surviving are grandsons Reilly and Brady of Houston, Texas and Ryan of Rochester, New York; and sister-in-law Helen Clark of Safety Harbor, Florida. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Florence (Kehr) Clark, and brother Roy Clark.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 18th, 2022, from 10AM until a celebration-of-life service at 11AM at the Rose Burial Park Mausoleum, 2421 Princeton Road Hamilton, 45011. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lindenwald United Methodist Church, Hospice of Cincinnati – Hamilton, or a charity of your choice.
