William Basil 'Bill' Morrissey

Morrissey, William (Bill) Basil – 75 of Halifax. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and grandfather. He was the son of the late Edward and Irene (Romo) Morrissey.

Bill had a kind heart and would do anything he could for anyone, especially his grandchildren whom he thought the world of. He had a good sense of humor and loved to joke around.

He spent his working years in the Long Haul Trucking Industry and owned his own company for the majority of those years. The last twenty years of his career were spent at SLH Transport Inc., where he made many friends.

Bill is survived by his wife; Eleanor Morrissey, brother; Louis; sisters Margaret and Evelyn.

He will be lovingly remember and missed by his children Pamela (Thomas) Watts, Susan (Keith) MacDonald, Dawn Morrissey, Jackie Vincent, Robert Morrissey, Todd Morrissey, David (Denise) Morrissey, and Wendy (Thomas) Tobin.

His grandchildren; Jarret, Katelyn, Chasidi, Erin, Amanda, Gillian, Megan and Lauren.

He is predeceased by his son-in-law, Peter Vincent, and brothers Joe, Bernard and Lester Morrissey.

Visitation will be held in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax B3S 0E1 on Monday April 8, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 pm.
