Simon and I met on a Sea School trip in 2017, and I was lucky enough to meet him again later that year at the OYA’s, where he received the “Outstanding Youth Award”. He never failed to make me laugh, and was a ball of energy and positivity while we knew each other. I’m very thankful to have met him and he will always be in my prayers. A friend for life. Rest easy. 

Oh sweet Simon…my perfect nephew. I can’t wrap my head…let alone my heart…around the fact that you have left this earth so suddenly and unexpectedly. 💔I wish I had more time to get to know you. More time to see you live out your life. Fulfill your dreams. Watch you grow. As your auntie you have always had a special place in my heart. ❤️Tucked in there nice and safe and protected. A place just for you. A place only you could fill. 🤗 That megawatt smile of yours could light up the entire galaxy. You radiated so much light kiddo! I’m not sure if you saw that in yourself but I did. 💫🌟  Maybe God just needed you back huh? Maybe he needed an extra angel on the other side of the veil because the world is dark right now…so he called you home? We are all gutted and numb sweetheart. 😔💔Watch over us all okay?  Especially your beautiful mom and your friends. They will need you now more than ever. As for me? I will love you forever and ever and ever sweet boy. Until we meet again. I was fortunate to teach Simon during his junior high years and will remember him fondly. His energy was contagious and his charm unforgettable. My deepest sympathies to his mother, family, and friends who will miss Simon so dearly.

I love you more then words can explain brother you've always been there for me when I needed you the most you always had my back and I always had yours. life is gonna be different without always by my side but I know you'll always be with me its hurts to know there was so much to life we didn't get to experienc it together but know you'll be with me with me ever step of they way. I love you brother I know well meet again.

I was Simon’s principal at Herring Cove.  He was a charming, very witty, intelligent, and fun young man.  I will always remember our chats as we shot hoops and played some 1 on 1.  He always brought a smile to my face.  I am so sorry for your loss and I am truly devastated by this.  Simon you will be missed.
