Silvia Mae Dingle

Dingle, Silvia Mae, nee Page, Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is with sadness that we announce Silvia’s passing on November 2, 2013 in St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. Silvia was born in Rockland, Shelburne County on December 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Lewis and Dorothea(Harding) Page. She was married to Vernon Alfred Dingle for 62 years. She was the proud mother of Wayne(Doreen), Halifax, Marlene O’Malley, Dartmouth and Linda(Wendall)MacDonald, Halifax. She always said, she had the best family. Other than her daughters and daughter-in-law, she is survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephew. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son Wayne, her husband Vernon, her brother Raymond Page(Mary Jean) and granddaughter, Carla. Marlene and Linda would like to thank the special staff on the 3rd floor of St. Vincent’s Nursing Home for their love and support of Silvia over the last 3 years. Their care and devotion did not go unnoticed. Cremation has taken place. No visitation. A celebration of Silvia’s life will be held in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx B3S 0E1(455-0531), November 12 at 2:00pm.
