Campbell, Sheila Harriet, age 78 passed away June 4, 2015 in the QE II Halifax Infirmary. She was the daughter of the late Anna and Isadore Ellman of Fredericton. A brilliant student, in the 1950’s, Sheila was awarded the Governor General’s medal for Academic Achievement as well as many other awards. She received her B.A. with first class honours in Psychology and her M.A. in English from Dalhousie University in 1958 and 1962 respectively and a M.A. degree from the University of British Columbia in 1984. Sheila lived in Fredericton, Dalhousie (New Brunswick) and taught English at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown.
Sheila also lived in London, England and London, Ontario, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax. She is survived by her husband Lyall Campbell (Edmonton), Nieces, a Nephew, cousins, friends and former devoted caregivers Donna Baker and Teresa Bell. Our thanks to the caring social workers at the Department of Community Services as well as the staff at Parkstone Enhanced Care.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A Graveside Committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at 1pm in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Windsor St., Halifax.
