Bowman, Richard James age 46 of Halifax. It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved son Richard on November 1st, 2016. Born September 27, 1970 in Halifax to Rosemary (Turner) Bowman and the late Lawrence Richard Joseph “Sonny” Bowman. He was predeceased by his grandparents James William Turner and Rose Ella Croft Turner, Who deeply loved their only grandchild. Richard was an avid sports fan and loved playing baseball and hockey. He loved his dogs very much Kai and Bentley. He will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles and many cousins and his very good friends who knew him as the “Gentle Giant”. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 2pm in the Spryfield Legion a reception to follow. Interment will be held at a later date in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Chebucto Minor Hockey or the Nova Scotia SPCA.
