It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Pamela Scott at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Sunday April 21, 2024. Born in Halifax on April 10th, 1949 (her father’s birthday), she was the daughter of Marjorie and John B Scott.
Pam is survived by her husband Brian Erlendson, daughter Charlene Tasco (Keith), son Robert Strum, sisters Lorraine Hurshman (Russell) and Mary Pothier (Philip) brothers John Scott (Maria) and Frank Sullivan, step daughter Wendy Wiseman (Chris), grandchildren Jazlyn, Brianna, Kaiden, Matthew, Katie and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and step grandchildren.
Pam was predeceased by her parents, John and Marjorie Scott, her sister Shirley Purcell, brother-in-law Buddy Purcell, nephew Frank Sullivan Jr., sister-in-law Isabel Sullivan, aunt Florrie and uncle Budd Ward.
Pam was employed as a secretary at the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission for 32 years where she formed many lifetime friendships. Family and friends were important to Pam and brought her great happiness. She was a loving mother, partner, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was a natural in the role of grand-mothering: adoring, proud, involved in all aspects of the lives of her grandchildren.
Pam was a joyful person by nature and could readily bring a smile to others. She was an avid bowler, line dancer, shopper and traveller, the latter taking her and Brian to many destinations including Florida, Bermuda, England, and Mediterranean cruises.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday Apr 27, 11:00 am at St. Stephens Church. Visitation will be held on Friday April 26, 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at J A Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Drive). Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Stephen’s Church or a charity of your choice. A reception will be held following Mass.
