Nauss Piercey

Piercey, Nauss (Jr.), born April 19, 1950, passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, 2013 at his cabin in Cold Stream, Colchester Co. He was a son of the late Nauss and Una Piercey (Dominix) of Belleoram NL. Nauss worked on fishing boats, Canadian Coast Guard ships and foundation towing. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time at his cabin. He loved playing guitar and singing. Nauss will be greatly missed by his many relatives and special friends, Farron, Timmy, Bob, Wayne, Dave and by his fiancée Jane Welsh (Jeannie) who took such great care of Nauss from the beginning of his illness until the end. Nauss is survived by sons, Trevor (Jennifer), Peace River, Alberta, Herbie (Melissa), Lr. Sackville, NS; daughters, Becky (Dean), Lr. Sackville NS and Melinda (Andy), Dartmouth NS; brothers Cyril (Ivy), Grand Falls, NL, Eugene (Mary), Lunenburg, NS, Roy (Grace), Pool’s Cove, NL and Roger, Lunenburg, NS; sisters, Greta (Ted), Mersey’s Point, Liverpool, NS and Mary (Philip), Lr. Sackville NS; five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and two Aunts. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the QEII and the palliative care unit of Colchester Co. for taking such great care of Nauss; thank you all. Visitation will be held Friday, August 16 from 1-3 pm, service to follow in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx B3S 0E1 (455-0531).
