Dad’s love for his family was unequivocal, as was our love for him. Our home was full of love, laughter, guidance and a safe haven for many. His goal in life was to provide for his family and to bring a laugh and a smile to someone each and every day.
Dad was involved in many organizations and devoted most of his life to coaching children through Halifax Minor Hockey, Bayers Westwood Softball, Hyland Park Softball and Halifax Minor Hockey School. He was on the Board of Directors for Halifax Civic credit Union and a member of Vimy Legion, Gashouse Gang (Derby Tavern) and Civic Workers Club. He enjoyed his karaoke and always had a “gig”. He was employed by Halifax District School Board. He drove the garbage truck and in his words was a “Garbologist”.
The loss to our family is devastating. To say he will be missed is an understatement.
There will be no service, in his memory please provide guidance to a young person, put a smile on someone’s face or lend a helping hand. Donations may be made to the QEII Foundation Cancer Research.
~Always in our hearts~
