McColl (Jank) (Grove) Marlene, Florence
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Marlene McColl on August 29th, 2023 at the age of 82 at the QEII Hospital.
Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Peter and Florence Jank.
She loved to play crib, shuffleboard, card game “Big Bertha” and watching the Blue Jays.
Survived by children James Grove (Carla), Cheryl Strowbridge (John), Cindy Doucette, Ken Grove (Sherry), sisters Eileen Kelly, Linda Harris (Garry) and Rita (John), 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Marlene was predeceased by her loving husband Karl of 33 years. Her brothers, Peter and John Hebein.
Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 6th at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street at 11am with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.
