Born in Halifax, the daughter of the late Henry Edward Webb and Ada Blanche (Deal). She served in WWII Women’s Army Corp, and in later years she worked at Keddy’s Nursing Manor as a nurse’s aide, where she retired. She loved and was devoted to her family. She loved traveling, gardening, quilting and crafts.
Survived by Judy (Randy), John (Brenda), Sandra (Robert), Patricia (Russell), David (Shirley), Gary (Kim), Lynn (Don), Eric, Terry, Susan (Joe), Wendy (David), Sherri, Tammy (Mark); daughters-in-law, Doreen Blackburn, Cathy Blackburn, Barb Bell; sons-in-law, Cal Drage, Steve Richardson; 26 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband, Fredrick Thomas; sons, Wayne, Fred and Dale; grandson, Shawn Brown. She was the last member of her siblings, Dorothy, Norman, Art, Donald, Doug, Ruby, Shirley, Norma, and Sheila; cousin and best friend “Wiss” Shirley Fleming.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, 902-455-0531. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 8, at 11 am also in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, the Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. Interment in Oakridge Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
