For those who knew Lorraine, you knew the pride and devotion she had for her daughters. They were her whole heart. The simple pleasures in life brought her joy. She loved gardening, baking, and spending time with her family and friends. She made the best butter tarts in the world. We will forever remember her kind heart, generosity to others, and her friendliness towards everyone she met.
Lorraine was born in Lethbridge, Alberta to Frank and Phyllis Kenna. She grew up there and graduated from the policing program at Lethbridge College. Lorraine had a successful career of over 30 years with Canada Border Services Agency. She was admired and respected by all levels of staff and management.
Lorraine is lovingly survived by her three daughters Kayla, Kamille, and Kara (Tyler) and their father; her cherished mom Phyllis Kenna; her siblings, especially Marg Jensen, Wayne Kenna, Joyce (Greg) Paulson, and Jim Kenna; her nieces and nephews including Shelli (Blair) Takahashi whom she had a special bond with; Mandy and Dave Beldock, Dee Brown and family; friends; and her grandpets whom she spoiled and loved dearly.
Lorraine was predeceased by her dad Frank and her brother Gary.
In respect of Lorraine’s wishes, there will not be a formal service. Lorraine lived her life with a ‘pay it forward’ approach. We encourage those who loved her to do something kind for someone else in her honour.
Her daughters would appreciate any memories, stories, photos, and good deeds done in her memory to be shared with them at [email protected].
Flowers are gratefully declined. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Bryony House or the Nova Scotia SPCA.
