Lester Joseph Martell

Lester Joseph Martell, age 69, died at home, May 8, 2017. Son of the late Donald Martell & Anna (Clorey) Martell. Survived by his wife, Judy Hollett, son Jean-Yves (Jolene); daughter Genelle (Mike); step sons Richard (Donna); David (Janet) and Scott (Marisa) Hanley; grand-children: Jordan, Kayla, Logan, Dylan, Jorja, Lacey, Jaelyn and Verna; brother Steve, sister Karen. He was a journeyman printer at The Halifax Herald for 13 years. He then worked in the Office Supply Industry for the remainder of his working life as a sales representative. He enjoyed the years he and Judy spent at their cottage in Hubbards with family, friends and their Hubbards family. He loved music and sports and played hockey and baseball in his early years. His wife Judy along with his children and his grandchildren were his greatest joys. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 11 at 2pm in J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. Judy and her family are forever grateful to Dr. Karen MacNeil for her nurturing care and support for Les during his illness.
