Kenneth Stanley Stewart

Kenneth Stanley Stewart, age 72 of Hammonds Plains, passed away June 18, 2013 at home. Born in Wiarton, ON, he was the son of Stanley and Margorie Stewart. Ken enjoyed his 28 year career in the Canadian Forces and his second career with Irving Shipyard Security retiring this past Christmas. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and loved taking vacations in the sun. His proudest moments were when his amazing children and grandchildren were born. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family. Survived by his daughter Jennifer Anne Stewart (David Geiger) of Bedford; sons, Christopher Michael (Rowed) Stewart, Saskatoon, Peter Kenneth Stewart, Lower Sackville; sisters, Sharon, Mona and Marlene, all in Ontario; and 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, and Peter. Predeceased by Ruby L Stewart (nee Mason)

Visitation will be held Thursday June 20 from 6-8 pm and Saturday June 22 11:30-12:30. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22 at 1:00 pm at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, Rev Tom Woods officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Sackville at a later date.
