Age 91 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Halifax, on Friday, September 17, 2021. Born in Commercial Cross, PEI, on August 11, 1930, June was the daughter of the late John Norman and Minnie Phoebe (Stewart) Beaton. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 61 years, Dr. David Russell Moore; her son, Dr. David Beaton Moore, Montreal, Quebec; her daughter, Dr. Catherine Elan Moore (Dr. Andrew Abramowicz), Beaverton, Ontario; and grandsons David and Matthew Abramowicz.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Basil Norman Beaton; and by her sister Zona Marion Beaton.
She enjoyed working alongside her husband in his dental practices in Fairview and Clayton Park for over 50 years. June especially loved spending time with her family on the family farm in Albion, PEI, and at the cottage in Gaspereaux, PEI.
Following June’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and interment will follow at a later date in the Sturgeon Baptist Cemetery, Sturgeon, PEI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
