J.R. "Jack" John Clements

CLEMENTS, John R. “Jack” – 87, passed away suddenly at home, Sunday, September 18, 2011. Born in Halifax, he was the only child of the late John (Tink) and Viola (Myatt) Clements. John retired from the Halifax Shipyards in 1989 after 47 years as a Shipfiter. He was also an avid bowler, playing on various metro leagues. John will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Mildred (Egan); son, Gregory (Donna) Clements; daughter Paula (Wayne) Clements; loving grandchildren Jacqueline, Kevin (Amy), Karen (Dave), Kathy, Gregory (Wendy); loving great-grandchildren: Kimberly, Kerri, Daniel, Lauren, Ryan, Olivia, and Benjamin, all of Halifax. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21st from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral mass at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 6903 Mumford Rd., Halifax on Thursday, September 22nd at 10:00am, Father John Williams officiating. Reception following.
