McDUFF, John P.C. – 73, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2012 in QEII, Halifax. He was the son of the late Jack & Audrey (Cosgrove) McDuff of Gaspé, PQ. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Kathleen (Burns) McDuff. Daughter, Barbara Ann of Halifax and son John Paul (Lesley) McDuff of Ardness ,Pictou Co. Grandchildren, Gregory, Steven and Melanie McDuff. He is also survived by a sister Gail and brother-in-law Barry Miller of Fredericton, NB, and was predeceased by brother Raymond in Yellowknife, NWT. Also survived by sister-in-laws Mary Howard (Englehart, Ont.), Theresa Ferguson (Baltimore, Ont.), Alice Collin (Peterborough, Ont.), Fran Munroe (Malaysia) and brother-in-law Jim Burns (Colborne, Ont.). He enjoyed working with model trains, reading, lexicons, and woodworking projects, as well as frequent road trips to Quebec, Lismore, NS, Campbellton, NB, and Tide Head, NB. He was a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings.
Also we wish to sincerely thank all of the paramedics who attended John to QEII, Cobequid Centre and Dartmouth General Hospital over the last few months. John was a member of the Canadian Military and served in Iserlohn, Germany. He served with the Canadian Coast Guard and was also a Commissionaire in Halifax.
