John James "Jack" MacNeil

MacNeil, John James "Jack" - 50, Halifax,passed away on Tuesday, Sept 25 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Glace Bay, Jack was the son of Mary (Cameron) MacNeil and the late John J MacNeil. Jack is survived by his wife Brenda (Chaulk) MacNeil and two daughters Samantha and Brianna, both at home; brothers Paul (Mary) and Stephen (Coleen); sisters Cheryl (Mark) and Lisa (Ian) MacDonnell; many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, good friends, and his dog Lucy. Predeceased by brother Greg "Peck" and his father. Residing in Halifax for the past 26 years, Jack was a natural salesman. His career in sales started at Colwell's and he later moved into selling packaging, and worked in car sales. Jack, always holding a Tim's coffee, was happiest watching the Patriots. Jack was a dedicated family man and was so very proud of his wife and beautiful daughters, always supporting the girls in their various activities. Jack will be dearly missed by many. Family will receive visitors at J.A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive on Monday, Oct 1 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct 2 at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with reception to follow.
