Age 64 of Halifax passed away quietly in his sleep on Sunday, September 28, 2014, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Frederick and Kathleen (O’Malley) Batt.
He is survived by his brother, Frederick J. Batt; sister, Jeanne M. Batt; niece, Jennifer Stewart, nephews, Peter and Christopher Stewart, great-niece, Jessica; great-nephews, Brandon and Peter.
Special thanks to his best bud, Bernie Saulnier, for his constant help and support and to his special friend, Joy Jammer, for her love and companionship.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Fernwood Park Memorial Cemetery, Sackville, NS following the funeral service.
