Little, James Herbert, “Cecil” – 90 of Terence Bay passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2016 at the QE II Hospital with his devoted family by his side. Born in Terence Bay, He was the son of the late James and Mary (Drew) Little.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Clarice (Umlah), son Gary, daughters Tammy and Carol, grandchildren Julie, Danny, Ashlea and Chelsea. Many great and great, great grandchildren and one brother John. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters.
He was a very active member of Star of The Sea Parish doing many things from being an altar boy to being on The Men’s council and even the caretaker of the graveyard.
His working years included driving for Texaco, sales rep and office manager for both RNG and PES Equipment Ltd where he made many friends before retiring in his early 70’s. Even though he was a hardworking man at home and on the road he always made time for family life. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and spending quality time with his family.

Visitation for Cecil will be held on Thursday Nov. 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at J.A. Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Dr. and a service will be held on Saturday Nov. 5 at St. Joseph’s Church, 3709 Prospect Rd, Shad Bay, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association of Nova Scotia.
