James Bernard Casey

James was the son of the late David and Francis Casey (Swaine) and husband of the late Barbara Casey. He was predeceased by his siblings, Wayne and Shirley as well as his half siblings, Harold “Bud” and Elsie Newell.

Survived by his children; James Jr (Rhonda) of Truro, Bonnie of Dartmouth and Wilfred (Heather) of Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Brandon, Tyvon (Mondrecka Smith) and Nolan; great grandchildren, Tyvaiah, Tyasia and Tyairah; siblings, Cecil (Wilma) of Airdrie, Alberta, George (Freda) of Timberlea, Roger “Bill” (Christine) of Eastern Passage, Derrick “Bud” (Stephanie) of Chilliwack, BC and Mary (Donnalee) and Curtis Clattenburg of Dartmouth; half sibling, Mary (John) Conrad of Amherst as well as many nieces and nephews.

James worked at VIA / CN Rail and Halifax Metro Transit as a bus and transport mechanic until his retirement.

A special thanks to all the nurses in palliative care at the VG hospital for taking wonderful care.
