Evelyn "Laura" Ford

Ford, Evelyn “Laura” (Barrett) – 85 of Halifax, NS, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home on July 22, 2017. Born on July 24, 1931, in North Sydney, Cape Breton, NS. She was the daughter of the late Edith and Mark Barrett.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry Allen, infant son, Laurie, Barry and Brian, whom she all missed dearly.

She is survived by sons, Henry (Brinda) Ford of Sackville; Fred (Linda) of Ontario, Allan (Crystal) of Ontario, Derrick (Helena) of Kelowna, Kevin of Didsbury; daughters, Cathy Davidson (Doug) of Truro, Sandra of Halifax; daughter-in-law, Susan Aube of PEI; sisters, Elsie Wheatley (Ken) of New Minas, Joan Giles of Halifax; brothers, Mark Barrett of Ontario, George Barrett (Meryl) Australia, Les Barrett (Dorreen) New Minas. Visitation will be held on Sun, July 30 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and a memorial service will take place Mon, July 31 at 10am all in J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
