Eric Woodburn loved life and his family. He was born and raised in Glace Bay, Cape Breton. In his late teens he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and later in the US Army. His tours of duties landed him in various countries around the world. After an honorable discharge he enrolled in college in California.
He started his family and decided to return to Nova Scotia in the 70’s. Moving and working in Halifax as a salesman until his retirement he was able to live a long and happy life surrounded by a loving family.
Eric is survived by his sons, Rick (Emma), Mark (Amanda) and Jason; grandchildren, Cooper, Ryley and Luna; siblings, Marilyn (Colin), Diane (Ken), Alison (Glenda) and Eddie (Jo-Anne); as well as his nieces and nephews, Drake, Shauna, Angie, Jill, Adam and Aaron. He was predeceased by his mother, Abbey, father, Ralph and step-father, Al.
Memorial service will take place on Sunday, August 12 at 3pm from Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax.
