Born in Halifax NS, she was the daughter of William and Daisy Sullivan (Power). She graduated from the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing in 1958 and worked for three years after graduating before leaving to raise her family. Later in life she worked as the evening receptionist at the Maritime Conservatory of Music, but her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with and visiting family.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband John (Jack), her two daughters Monica (Normand) Gaudet and Mary (Denis) Gordon, and three sons John (Michele) Gordon, Pat (Maria) Gordon, and Greg (Stephanie) Gordon. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Chris, Katie, Michelle, Janelle, Jack and Luke as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters Joan Billingham and Pauline Mayall.
Funeral services will be held at St Stephens Catholic Church located at 6032 Normandy Drive in Halifax, on Thursday June 6th, 2024 at 11:00 AM with reception to follow. Cremation has already taken place and burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Cottage. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Berkeley Pepperell for all their support.
