McISAAC (MacPhee) Edna Vivian – 89, of Halifax, suddenly passed away May 29, 2010 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII Hospital. Born in Halifax, March 26, 1921, Edna was the daughter of the late Charles Howard MacPhee and Ethel Mae MacPhee (Crabbe). She grew up in the Annapolis Valley, moved to Halifax and worked at Dominion Stores and retired from Sears. Edna was totally devoted and proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed a good cup of tea or a butterscotch sundae while beating you at crib or 45’s. Edna was a loyal friend known for her generosity and sense of humor. She will be happily remembered by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life. She is survived by daughters Kelsie Taylor, Dayspring, and Debbie (Steve) Nelson, Cole Harbour, sons Murray (Elizabeth) McIsaac, Halifax, six grandchildren: Parker, Brad, Sarah, Amy, Steve, and Jenna, and 4 great-grandchildren: Julia, Tess, Sidney, and Jacob, and several nieces and nephews. Edna is predeceased by her husband, Murray, brother Raymond, sisters Mae, Florence, Dorothy, and two sisters in infancy, and son-in-law David Taylor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2nd, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 3rd, at 11am at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Bedford Hwy, Bedford, Fr. Lloyd O’Neill officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
