So sorry to read of Cedric's passing -- Cedric and I go back many years.
We would like to pass along our condolences to you and your family.  Unfortunaly I was not able to attend the funeral service.  Our thoughts are

My sincerest condolences to the entire MacDonald Family on such a sad but yet memorable day. I have fond memories of Cedric & the opportunities he provided many of us in the North End with regard to sports. He was an extremely generous & giving person in so many ways. I trust his memory will live on through those who's lives he has enhanced.

Marlene and Family,

I was saddened to hear the news about Cedric.  I worked with Cedric as a health inspector in Bedford and I always enjoyed his company, kindness and good humour.  I have especially fond remembrances of a winter's day when a few of us had a ‘picnic' on a bench in Bedford close to the office.  It was very cold, but there was hot chocolate and it was great fun – something which Cedric appreciated in his life from what I observed.

Dear Marlene & Family,
How sad to read of Cedric's passing. My first day on the job as a PHI was in the old office in the Johnson Building on the corner of Prince and Granville and Cedric was there with many of the others who have since passed on. Watching Cedric attempt to set  fire to Jim McKelvie's newspaper was a daily morning ritual, one that I will never forget, sometimes he was even successful. Cedric always had a grin and a story to tell, now he can share his smile and stories with his old buddies who've gone before him. 

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time and I will remember him in my prayers,

I have known Mr MacDonald a while now, I work at the Shoppers Drug Mart he would always go to. I was saddened to see he has passed away. I did smile, however, when I seen in his obituary about his love of Ginger Beer, he would come in the store & go straight for it & walk around drinking it while he was waiting for his prescriptions, a memory so clear. Or when he would come in with that little dog waddling behind him. He will be missed, he was always so kind to me, even when he wasn't feeling well.

So saddened to read about your loss. It was  great working with Cedric at Public Health for so many years and I remember all the laughs,and a few of the visits we made together,some more memorable than others
