Donations to The Sunshine Room
The Sunshine Room is located on the 11th floor of the V.G. Site of the QE2 Health Sciences Center. It is a support center for cancer patients and their family members. It is funded entirely through donations and is staffed solely by trained volunteers who provide makeovers, wigs, hair services, massages, snacks, and friendly conversation, all free of charge, to help bring a smile to people during a very difficult time. Joan Houghton, who is one of Carolyn’s best friends, has been a long time volunteer at The Sunshine Room.
