Age 66, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2014 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII of ALS. Born on October 25, 1947 in Halifax, NS. He was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Hiltz) Hardiman. In earlier years, he was employed by CN Railway Company and then the Halifax Shipyard.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Susan (Kelly) and brother, Michael.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Candis), Vancouver, BC; daughters, Michelle (David) Comeau, Halifax; Ceilidh Cherrett, Halifax; brothers, Gary (Della), Halifax; Brian (Rosalind), Hammonds Plains; Bobby (Linda), Lockport, NS; sisters, Mary (Norman) Maclean, Halifax; Donna (Michael) Phelan, Halifax; sister-in-law, Lynda (Michael), Sackville, NS; grandsons who always brightened his day, Joshua and Mitchell, Halifax; Kai, Vancouver, BC; Cadeyn, Halifax; 5 nieces and 7 nephews. Special thanks to his dear friend Trish Spark who provided unconditional love and support. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, quick wit and ready laugh.
Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Friday, October 17, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
